Licenses expire on April 1st of the year of issue. The renewal application must be post-marked by April 1st to be considered without a late fee.  When the renewal application is approved, the license is renewed for one (1) calendar year. The renewed licensee will will receive new pocket ID cards and a receipt for the renewal fee.

Please note all licenses must be renewed by  April 1 of each year in order to continue to practice in the state. If your license is not renewed by April 1, YOU MAY NOT PRACTICE IN WYOMING.

Please be aware the Board will NOT accept cash.

The Board Office sincerely thanks you for your patience while the Board endeavored to complete the build of a new online system. At this time, it appears the system cannot ensure a seamless transition for our licensees, so staff has chosen to send paper renewal forms one last time.
Thank you for your patience!

Forms with pre-populated information were mailed to licensees on February 22, 2018. Generic renewal forms were also emailed to licensees on March 5, 2018.

The Wyoming Board of Examiners in Optometry is staffed through the Professional Licensing Boards Office, a division of A&I.
