Optometry by CELMO Endorsement
Intended for those who hold a CELMO Certificate issued by ARBO.
If you failed to renew your license by April 1, you may apply for Reinstatement Application of your Wyoming license between April 2 to June 30 of the year the license expired.
If you have been previously licensed in Wyoming and failed to reinstate your license by June 30 of the year the license expired, you must apply for Relicensure Application.
To provide the advanced procedures permitted by the law change effective July 1, 2021, licensees shall complete the Proctoring Attestation Form in conjunction with their proctor. Licensees are required to maintain this document in their records.
Advanced Procedures Review Form
If you're unsure whether or not your training is sufficient to perform advanced procedures, you can complete and submit the Advanced Procedures Review Form for consideration.
Adverse Outcomes Reporting Form
Any licensee providing advanced procedures shall report to the Board any adverse outcomes following each procedure on the Adverse Outcomes Reporting Form. These reports are required within ten (10) days from the date the licensee is aware of the adverse outcome.
The 2025 renewal period is closed!
Renewal Notices were mailed to the last known address of all licensees on February 7, 2025. All licenses must be renewed by April 1 annually. Per the Board Rules, failure to receive your notice does not excuse you from the requirement to renew.

Can the Wyoming Board of Examiners in Optometry sponsor me to sit for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) examinations if I hold a foreign degree?
No. W.S. 33-23-109(a) of the Board's law requires: "Any applicant for licensure under this act is required to pass the examination series administered by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, or its successor agency, or any other examination specified by the board in rule. The applicant shall be a graduate of an optometric school or college accredited by a regional or professional accreditation organization which is recognized or approved by the council on postsecondary accreditation or the United States Department of Education (USDE) or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or their successor agencies. Examinations shall cover subjects designated by the board."
